Our Mission
The mission of Adelante Charter School is to develop biliterate, multi-cultural students whose strong academic and cultural foundations prepare them to meaningfully participate and provide leadership in their families, their community and their world to create a more just and equitable society.
Our Vision
Adelante Charter School strives to be a model dual-immersion school, recognized at the local and state levels for its outstanding academic program led by a passionate and talented staff, strong parental and community involvement, sound financial resources, and a committed board of directors.
Our Values
Adelante Charter School is deeply rooted in Cesar Chavez's values, as exemplified by his work with Dolores Huerta and he United Farm Workers of America (UFW). Together Cesar and Dolores emphasized service to others, sacrifice, a preference for helping the most needy, determination, non-violence, and acceptance of all people. These values were integral to his approach to achieving social and economic justice for farm workers.

Chávez's Ten Core Values
1. Sacrifice
Sacrifice – Sacrifice that is spiritual; that is courageous and steadfast in its willingness to endure great hardship for others.
“I am convinced that the truest act of courage, the strongest act of [humanity], is to sacrifice ourselves for others in a totally nonviolent struggle for justice. To be [human] is to suffer for others. God help us to be human.”
